Conservation & Restoration

Program 01

Conservation&Restoration

Reviving ecosystems, led by the community.

We are committed to preserving biodiversity and reviving degraded landscapes. Our initiatives focus on restoring forests, rivers, and farmlands while empowering local communities to lead these efforts.

Through agroforestry, we support rural farmers to implement land-use systems that combine trees with crops and livestock — producing food, timber, fuel, and fodder while protecting the land. These systems improve soil health, increase crop yields, sequester carbon, and promote ecological balance.

By enabling community-driven restoration, we ensure that conservation is sustainable, inclusive, and deeply rooted in local knowledge.

Community Resilience

Program 02

CommunityResilience

Climate-smart livelihoods for rural Kenya.

We strengthen grassroots communities by integrating climate-smart practices into their daily lives and livelihoods. Our programs in agroforestry, seedling production, and fruit orchards enhance food security, boost incomes, and promote environmental stewardship.

By supporting social enterprises and sustainable farming, we create pathways for long-term resilience and economic empowerment in rural Kenya.

Agroforestry: Nature-Based Solutions

Program 03

Agroforestry:Nature-BasedSolutions

Where trees and agriculture grow prosperity together.

We provide training and tools to help farmers adopt agroforestry — combining trees with agriculture to rehabilitate the land and increase productivity. Farmers are guided on selecting the right tree species to enrich their farms, protect biodiversity, and generate income.

Improve soil fertility and water retention
Increase food and forage availability
Develop sustainable firewood and timber sources
Create alternative income streams
Eco-Green School Program

Program 04

Eco-GreenSchoolProgram

Raising the next generation of stewards.

Our Eco-Green Program cultivates the next generation of environmental stewards. We engage schoolchildren through hands-on tree planting, environmental education, and kitchen garden initiatives.

By instilling conservation values early, we nurture a generation that understands the importance of biodiversity and is equipped to lead a sustainable future.

Environmental Education & Awareness

Program 05

EnvironmentalEducation&Awareness

True conservation begins with understanding.

Many people degrade the environment not out of malice, but due to lack of awareness or limited alternatives. Our goal is to foster environmentally responsible citizens equipped with the knowledge, skills, and values to protect nature.

Public seminars and school workshops
Community sensitization forums
Awareness campaigns through media and print
Women's Empowerment & Gender Equality

Program 06

Women'sEmpowerment&GenderEquality

When women thrive, communities thrive.

Women are at the heart of conservation and rural development. Yet they face systemic barriers to land ownership, resources, and decision-making. Save Nature from Extinction works to change that.

Promote women's leadership in conservation
Support women-led income-generating projects
Build entrepreneurship and climate-smart agriculture skills
Ensure gender equity across all our programs

Why It Matters

Whygendermatters
inconservation

In Africa, women own just 1% of agricultural land — yet are primary users of biodiversity, collecting food, fuel, seeds, and medicinal plants vital to household survival.

Bridging this gender gap unlocks powerful opportunities for conservation and community growth.

Equal access to resources and land rights
Inclusion of women in biodiversity decision-making
Leveraging women's knowledge for ecosystem-based solutions
